Mei's Bracelet

This is my jade bracelet. I have been holding this bracelet for ten years. I felt happy with it. There are some story about it.
My sister in-law gave this bracelet to me when my first son was born. It means you are wearing it you will have good luck. And it is gray with green. I really like it. But it's not easy to take on. You have to use the soap to make your hand smooth. But now I can't take off because I got fat.
One day the weather was wet. I was fell down when I was hugging my son. But everything was ok. Nobody was hurt. That was very scarcely me. and I was luck. That is why I believe this bracelet.

Ken wu 's toy bear

Hi everybody,this is my little toy bear.it's brown and soft,it has been in my house for more than three months. I don't know which one took it to my house and left there.I think maybe a boy of my relativities lost it in my home when he visit us sometime.I have nothing to take a photo for my blog in the classroom,so I thought and thought and decided to take this toy bear instead of.I can write my blog now,I love the living animal more than a toy animal,such as a cat,or a dog. .........

Nadia's Ring

My husband gave me this white gold diamond ring as

appreciation for being a great mother and a wonderful wife.

My husband and I have been together for almost 10 years.

We have two beautiful daughters; Hajar is 9 years old;

and Sabrina will be 5 years next month. This ring is very

special to me, I wear it everyday and I take good care of it

Fiona's Minnie Mouse

This is my Minnie Mouse,I bought her in Disneyland at Los Angeles.

You may say it is just a toy ,but it is very important to me . Last month ,my husband and I had a vacation on Los Angeles to celebrate our fist wedding anniversary.We spent 4 days there,and we visited Disneyland ,Disney's California Adventure and Uniwersal Studios Hollywood.It was a very happy time ,we went shopping,went to movies,played roller coaster，and took pictures with cartoon stars,and we enjoyed lots of food.

My husband and I both like travelling, we hope we will travel all over the world utill we are too old to travel,and Disneyland was a beginning.and the Minnie Mouse will travel with us ,because she is a sign of the beginning.

Shirley'dictionary

This is my old dictionary. It is a big book and very heavy. But it is a very useful dictionary. When I don't understant and don't know how to use the word I alway use it. It stay

with me almost thirty years.

It's from my brother. He brought to me when to school in 1982. It was my fist time to get gift from my brother.It help me to learn a lot of English. I still use it.

This is a photo .I hold my son stand on the lombard street. Behind us is the curve street, people call the" flower street" both side have many luxury houses.It looks very magnificent. I like the picture because it also has a story.

In 1996 my family took a vacation to travel to America. Our first stop was in Hawaii . Second was in San Francisco. That time my son was only 8 months. I remember our friends drove us to sightseeing around the City. Of course we went to the Lombard street . I like the place, so my husband took a picture for us. Time go very fest, my son already grew up. In 2005 my family immigrated to San Francisco , we have been living on the Taylor and Lombard street for four years . One day l took out the photoal bum, l was surpried to see that this picture was taken bloke away from our apartment , it's too much of a coincidence. The world is big but it's small for me.

This is my wedding ring. It is a very simple gold circle.

My husband gave it to me when we got married 13 years ago.

We have been married in France, in 1997, in a very small village called "Beaulieu", which means "nice place". It is located 1h30 from Paris in the west side.

All our families and friends were there.

My husband is wearing the same.

It represents for me the engagment with him and the starter of the building of our family. Which is the most important thing to me.

June's Key

A key is kept by everyone. I had my own house key since ten years ago. I earned enough money to buy a unit in a apartment. It could say I earned first barrel of gold.

I would like to share my experience with you. I worked hard when I was young. I had an office job at the day time and I also spent more night time on the production line until 10:30pm. I could draw extra overtime wages. Then, I could get a lot of income every month. This situation continued until the factory production line removed to China.

At that time, the business styles were different from the previous time in Hong Kong. China was developing fast. Many factories were removed to China. They could expand their business more. They could employ many many workers and the wages were cheaper than Hong Kong. They paid the cheap rent for the factory and deducted their cost a lot. At that moment, I made a hard decision. I changed my life to China. I worked in China as a factory manager for 10 years.

One year ago, I had a chance to change my life nature. I removed to the United States of America. I wanted to start my new life in a fresh place. There are many things I need to learn. I need to improve my English language at the moment. I look forward to holding a new key in San Francisco.

Dennis's precious album

This album that my girlfriend gave me as my gift in the last day that i was in China is one of my most important things in my life .Because there are more than 100 photos in it ,which recorded my best memory with my girlfriend and friends in China.moreover,all the photos in this album were selected by my girlfriend,because she thought these photoes were the most meaningful,not only that ,but also my girlfriend made some notes in every photo,when ,where and what happened.
Everytime i feel unhappy and upset,i would see the photos in the album and i can recall my happy hours with my lovers and friends ,they also give me motivation to study hard in order to go back to China to reunite with them.

Judy's love deity

It is a love deity. I do not know I should call it she or he, it is so small and so lovely. It is from Italy. Maybe it is made in China , but I still believe it come from Italy.Maybe you will say it is just a doll , but I do not think so .

It is wear silver cloth and hat with black flower. The hat has three small bells.As you see it face made by china. I got it from a small store when I studied in college.It comes with me almost three years .

The store's owner told me it is a love deity.At first I am not sure it is or not ,but now I am pretty sure it is. It takes love to me, takes me come here and find my husband.

I think it change my life .Maybe you will think it is fanny ,but i think if you believe it ,it will comes true.So I think It is important stuff in my life.

Monie's D.I.Y Photo Album

This handmade photo album is made by my friend who is in China. As my 20TH birthday present and also for I was going to immigrate to the U.S.A soon. It really means a lot to me!

The cover of this D.I.Y photo album is pink leopard print, is very pretty. It's not big and just enough for only one photo in each page. Besides the photos of my life with her, there are words next to the photos written by her. I can image that she spent a lot of time on making it, I am thankful for her to give me such great gift!

Before I came to the U.S.A, I stuck more photo in the rest of the blank. Furthermore, I asked my good friends to wrote down some words and expressions that they wanted to talk to me. How wonderful this photo album is!!

Living in an unfamiliar city, it is hard to avoid feeling lonely. Whenever I am lonely and empty, I just open the album and enjoy it, which helps me to feel better. It remind me of the beautiful China life with my good friends and the words encourage me to overcome the difficulties here.

I will treasure this photo album forever!

My name is Edward I come from Hong Kong , and I was born in Burma.
I moved to Hong Kong in 1971 for the Govt of Burma nationalize my business.
In 1989 I immigrated to U.S. during I new arrived here I had doing many kinds of jobs like mechanic,house keeper, teacher's aid,take care elderly and disable person. I never choose my job, any kinds I will do it if I can.
After I retired I voluntary to red gross for three years I feel happy if I can helping people.This is my policy.

Lina's Necklace

This was a necklace. It looked like not valuable. But it was very valuable and important to me in my life.It was made of plastic with different size of beans. It was colorful - purple, black and white colors. It was handmade.

This was my first birthday gift from my son. He made by himself when he was eight years old. I was very surprise when he gave me, because he was an active and curiosity person, he couldn't sit down for a long time. He liked to ask questions. He was a noisy and no patient boy. He spent a lot of time to make it. Right now I am in a empty nest. He went to college, I don't need to take care him. The home become quite. Sometime I will take the necklace to memorize the happy time with him. I advise you that you should value the time with the children. When they grow up, they have their world. The time is not return.

Chao's most treasurable item - Bible

Hi, everyone. Here what you can see is simply a book with black and white color, of my collection, but it's very unusual, it's called Bible. At first, I would like to introduce it to you about how I know about the Bible and where I get it.

One day, I was at home, a few knocking led me open the door. An old and strange lady face appeared in front of me. She was greeting me!:) Her kindness drew me close, and interested me to see what's going on. She introduced her name, Sara to me, and then she asked my opinion about the world that we are living. I had never think about these questions, so I didn't have much idea about this topic. However, I was curious to know what she is going to tell. She opened the Bible, and share a few scripture prophecy that's reflecting today, the world we're living to me. That's so true! After the discussion, I began to study Bible with "Rond". Rond is a religious brother of Sara. He also gave me the Bible.

How does the Bible unusually differ from others?
For informational facts:

1. Bible has been translated into over two thousand kinds of language, 90%people of the world can read Bible in their native writing.

2.Bible contains a lot of precious human history we lost, and those are proved with today's discoveries.

3.Bible is the only book that spent over 1600 years to finish. Over 40 writers with very different backgrounds such as fisher, doctor, kings, prophesier, farmer etc. from very different time contribute to the original writings. However, they all claim that they are not the author, and they together assure that the idea is from a God named, Jehovah. That's the reason why the whole idea of the Bible is perfectly harmony and compatible.

Today, although many people don't believe in Bible and claim that Bible is an old book in "past", thus it doesn't apply to us today, the fact has shown that the acknowledgment of Bible leads many people to live better. Also, the Bible tells everyone about our future and meaning of life. These are the tough questions we have been searching for 5bthousand years.

Disaster, last day, end of the world, invasion of aliens etc. are hot topics for many movie makers and audience. The fact reflects people very concern and curious about our future and our world, yet the things we have encountered today just constantly make us disappointed to future. Let's take a look the answer from Bible about our future: "For evildoers themselves will be cut off, but those hopping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth. and The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."
