One of exciting experiences was when I came to the United States on the first day. This was in January 2005, and came with my wife. It was so excited for many reasons. First, I haven’t taken an airplane to aboard. Second, when the air plane took off from my hometown airport, I thought I can see my parents soon, I haven’t seen them over four years. We met at the San Francisco international airport and it was extremely exciting moment. Third, I can immigrant to one of the richest country in the world; it was a very exciting dream.
the most confusing experiences were when I came to the United States on the first day too. It was so confused for many reasons. First, when I arrived in San Francisco, it was the same day and at the morning, it means I eared a day. Second, I had to use my confusing English everywhere, the officers also said English too. I was confused? Did they speak English? Third, I came to the biggest Chinatown in the United States; the crowd streets and apartment; it was confused from my dream.
AN EXCITING AND BORING MOMENT
My boring moment was when I went to see a movie with my sister. It was really boring I almost fall as sleep because the movie was for children. Of course my sister was very exciting about it, but for me the hours were very long. I was dying to be home and also in that time I didn’t understand English well so it was completely boring and confusing well I hope not to have another day like that.
exciting experience by Janie
One of my exciting experiences is that I got my visa and came to the United States. When I and my husband got married, my husband applied for me to come to America. After two years waiting, I got my visa. I felt very excited around those days. Although I had a lot of things to do before I left China, I still didn’t feel tired. I can’t wait to come to America. You know what, because in that time, lots of people wanted to come to America. They felt once you come to an America and you will have a better life, to me, it is.
Exciting and Interesting - Alfred Tsang
One of my most exciting experience was when I went to San Francisco. This was in July, 1999. I have never gone to U.S.A. before. When I arrived in San Francisco, I was really bored. I couldn't find a good job because my English is not perfect. So I returned to school to study English to improve my English immediately. I am very interested in studying at school. English is really interesting. English grammar sometimes isn't to follow the rules.

Spring Break -by stella
Spring Break
I was so busy during the Spring Break. Because my mother- in- law stayed in the hospital. She got a breathing problem when she on the way to church on last Tuesday. Somebody called 911 for her. The Ambulance came right away, and took her to hospital. Luckily, she was saved by the doctor. But the first two days she was still not out of the woods. My families were in and out of the hospital, and helped her to transfer to another hospital to do some tests. She was stable and checked out of hospital already. But the doctor could not find the main reason yet. They said it maybe heart disease causes it. My families and I keep in watching my mother-in-law. I couldn’t enjoy the Spring Break, and there’s a little bit spoiled of my Spring Break.
Exciting and Boring - Li Li Chang
I had really exciting about my first time tripped to another country when I was a young lady. My friend and I took a trip to Hawaii. I’ve never been Hawaii before. I’ve never left from my country. I was extremely excited. We went sightseeing to many famous places, but the special thing was scuba diving at Hanauma Bay. That’s wonderful and exciting experience. I saw very beautiful kinds of tropical fish when I was snorkeling. There were a lot of fish around me and they came to eat food out of from my hand.
I hate staying at home by myself and nobody with me. This is really boring. Five years ago, I was jumping out from armchair and broke my ankle. The doctor used gypsum to treat it. He gave me prescription that I couldn’t walk on floor about two months, so I took vacation about ten days. First, on the first day I enjoyed in nobody disturb me. Then, on the second day, we had order food from restaurant. And next, I saw my house a little dirty and couldn’t to clean it make me unhappy. I like cooking for my family. I couldn’t do anything and nobody with me. My husband needs to work. My daughter must to go to school. I was really bored. I didn’t like to watch soap opera. It was pretty boring. So, I won’t take long vacation with any anybody.

restaurant. It happened on my trip last month. we ate chicken, meats, and fish. We were
talking about things since I was moving to the U.S.A. We were talking about our future. We
shared our thoughts. What jobs we would applied. We were singing the birthday song and ate
cake.
My boring time was I was getting no job to do. I stayed at home doing nothing. Everything
was so boring. At that time I had very few friends. Then I was moving to the states. I was so lucky. I had time to learn Engish in City Collage. I met friends in school.

An Exciting Experience and a Time I felt confused - Amanda Fung
I had never forgot when my older sister and I were in San Francisco for the first time, we got lost in downtown. One day, my mother, two sisters, and I walked to downtown from my younger sister's house. We were very happy to shop around in the mall until 5:00pm. My mother and younger sister needed to go home early to prepare the dinner. My older sister and I remembered the buildings which was used walked back home. When the traffic light turned to green, we wanted to cross the road. Suddenly, a car made a turn. We felt confused about it because it never happened in my country. We must keep our eyes open. We continued shopping until 6:30pm. The sky was a little bit dark. We decided to walk back home. Unfortunately, we passed the buildings and continued to walk down the street. When we walked and walked, I had never seen the street's name before. It was very strange. We were confused how to go back home. We felt very nervous. We didn't remember the home phone number. Our English was limited. The sky was getting darker and darker. This was very confusing. What should we do? We tried to remember how to go back home, but we couldn't. Some building were similar. It made us confused. At that moment, we saw a police officer and he also can speak chinese. He asked us the address where we wanted to go. We were shocked! We didn't know the exact address. We only knew my younger sister's house was on Powell Street. The police officer asked us what was the cross street. We were shocked again! Oh my goodness! We were confused again. We only knew China Town. We said if we can go to China Town, then we should know how to walk home. Finally, the police officer asked us follow Broadway Street, which will bring us to China Town. At the end, we finally returned home at 7:30pm and copied the address and phone number, in case we get lost again.

Spring Break -- Denise
I did a lot of things with my kids during Spring Break and we had a great time! We went to the SF Zoo, the Aquarium of the Bay, and the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland. At the zoo our favorite thing to see was the grizzly bears. They were playing in the water and play-fighting with each other! We also loved seeing the jellyfish at the Aquarium -- they are so beautiful even though they are deadly. However, the best part of Spring Break was celebrating Easter this past weekend. My kids love dyeing eggs, going on the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt and having fun with our whole family. We went to my friend Vanessa's house to dye eggs with her kids. The kids made a big mess but had lots of fun. Then we went to our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt -- those are the pictures above. There were so many kids everywhere and it was a bright and sunny day. Finally we went to Easter brunch on Sunday with our whole family and had a great day. I had a wonderful Spring Break, and was a little disappointed to come back to school today, but I'm happy to see all my students again.

Spring Break - Amanda
The second day, I woke up early again. My classmates and I went to picnic in Crissy Field. I prepared some food in the morning, and met them at 11:00. This was my first time there. When one of my classmates and I took a bus to Golden Gate Bridge and transfered to bus #29 which took us to Crissy Field Center. We waited for a long time, so we gave up. We decided to walk over there instead. Unfortunately, we got lost. We walked more than an hour to get there. We felt very tired. Finally, we met each other and shared different kinds of food. We took some pictures and enjoyed the sunny day. I had a wonderful and funny day.
